Forest Vets – Harlow

ACD Projects worked with Forest Vets in Warwickshire as they embarked on a relocation project to a larger premise. We assisted in the design of the new practice, focusing on continuing and improving their current service offering.

The building selected for the move, was a two-storey warehouse that had most recently served as a research and development facility. The property offered a large open-plan space to develop, a highly accessible location, and a generous car park positioned directly in front of the main entrance – attributes that are becoming increasingly rare to find in busy built up areas.

As well as the standard range of veterinary services offered in their first opinion practice, Forest Vets wished to undertake Radio Iodine treatment at their new facility – a highly specialised and tightly controlled procedure involving radioactive materials, which required careful design consideration to ensure safety for the staff and animals involved.

For this project, ACD provided a full suite of services, including architectural, mechanical and electrical, quantity surveying, and project management, supporting the client throughout each design phase, through to project completion.

With the completion of this project, the Forest Vets team have now moved into their new facility and are operating from a modern, purpose-designed veterinary practice. The new premises provides increased space for the team including an overnight room and conference room, improved facilities for patients, and greater capacity to accommodate a higher caseload and deliver a wider range of treatments than was previously possible.
